Dr. Ken Ota, Physician

“Stress in life is categorical. Inevitable. How we respond to stress is a choice. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu continues to train my mind to be calm in high-stress situations.”

Ken Ota

Professor Ken “Doc” Ota

My journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 2009.

Since this time I have enjoyed training and competing at white, blue, purple, and brown belt.

I was honored to be awarded the black belt on June 8, 2024 by Professors Tony Nolan, Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho, and Alef Brito.

Jiu-jitsu has been an important part of my life and personal development.

My mission as a representative of this martial art is to continue teaching this art to help others build a foundation for both physical and mental resilience.
