Jiu-Jitsu is something I think everyone should experience at least once in their life. The adrenaline you feel as you battle through positions and fight for the dominant position is something you can't experience anywhere else. Jiu-Jitsu builds confidence while giving you a real life skill you might need to use one day.

I have been practicing jiu-jitsu since I was 13 when I started May of 2022 in New York at High Level Jiu - Jitsu under Professor Matt Marotta and James Fallas. I spent my time at High Level competing all over the east coast. I earned my solid gray belt under High Level in the beginning October of 2022.

After my family moved back to Arizona I began training at Pinnacle BJJ at the end of October 2022. I started coaching at the kids classes in November of 2022. I think coaching and practicing the art of jiu-jitsu is an essential way to learn and grow. You have to know how to explain and show the fine details of the basic and more advanced moves. I earned my green-black striped belt under Professor Tony Nolan and Professor Alef Brito in June of 2023. I continue to learn everyday from all of the coaches, professors, and students at Pinnacle.

Most of my freetime is spent trying to improve my jiu-jitsu and help others learn the art.

When I’m not at jiu-jitsu I am working on volunteer projects, reading, or writing. When I graduate high-school I plan on continuing my education at college studying wildlife biology.
